Beginner Ice climbing (Group 2)

Prerequisites

• None
• No expereince needed

All technical equipment is provided and you will be safely supervised by a team of professionals accredited by the Fédération québécoise de la montagne et de l’escalade (FQME). The duration of the activity is 3 hours.

*ATTENTION*

We provide crampons and ice axes, but not boots. You need to wear boots that are suitable for the activity, that is, warm boots that are stiff at the toes.

Examples of suitable boots:

• Mountaineering boots
• Hiking boots
• Ski boots
• Stiff snowboard boots
• Winter boots that are stiff at the toes

Examples of unsuitable boots:

• Soft toe winter boots (Sorel boots for example)
• Dress boots / City boots

Personal equipment to bring

• Snacks
• Water and/or warm beverage
• Fleece jacket (depending on the season)
• Windbreaker
• Warm winter jacket
• Winter hat and warm gloves
• Snow pants
• Lip balm and sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Boots (see above)
