INTRO TO DOWNHILL SKI & SNOWBOARD

This event is for BIPOC living in Montreal, Quebec area. While we love our allies, this event is created to give a chance to BIPOC members to try new sports.

This introductory program prioritizes fun and joy, with no prior skiing experience required. Participants will build a sense of confidence, each lesson is designed to provide participants with key notions of downhill ski  techniques such as, diagonal stride, weight transfer, balance. Come discover spring skiing and snowboarding .

Age: 18+

Location PICK UP: TRANSPORT INCLUDED via chartered school bus . Meet up Walmart Namur Metro 5400 Rue Jean-Talon O, Montréal, QC H4P 2H1

Time:

7:30am-4:30pm

What to bring:

• Dress in layers  3 layers Base layer (long sleeve dry fit or merino wool)  Mid layer (fleece or breathable sweater)  Outer layer (wind breaker, waterproof jacket) *Layer your clothing and dress in appropriate winter wear, avoid over dressing as this may cause you to sweat.
• Snow pants
• Gloves and Hat/ neck warmer
• Extra pair of gloves
• Extra pair of socks
• Light backpack or hip pack
• Water and light healthy snack
